Raised in a home where music was a constant presence, Jhoana Cadena developed an early connection to rhythm, performance, and sound. Coming from a family in which music played a central role—and with musician parents as a strong influence—her curiosity naturally evolved into passion and discipline. Her taste was shaped by contrast: the raw energy of rock bands like Guns N’ Roses, and the immersive world of electronic music festivals, with Tomorrowland standing out as a long-time inspiration.
Her DJ career began in February 2020, driven by a deep love for electronic music. With no formal technical background at the time, she purchased her first DJ equipment and started learning independently through hands-on practice. That same year, she began studying at DNA Music (2020), one of Colombia’s most respected music academies, strengthening her foundation in technique, music structure, and professional performance standards.
By 2021, Jhoana was already performing live across 12 cities in Colombia, building experience in clubs, venues, upscale restaurants, and luxury private events. Those early years became her training ground—shaping her ability to read different crowds, manage energy with precision, and develop a confident stage presence. Her growing momentum led to appearances at major national events, including the Black & White Festival, and recognition through an invitation to the Latinos Show Music Awards. She was also nominated at the CDA Awards in the category of Best Female DJ – Tribal House & House, reflecting her rising presence within the Colombian electronic scene.
As her journey expanded, Jhoana took her sound to international audiences, performing in Ecuador, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom (London), and Belgium. These experiences helped refine her artistic identity and broaden her musical perspective through direct contact with different scenes and cultures.
In 2024, she lived in Ibiza, immersing herself in one of the world’s most influential electronic music environments. During this period, she deepened her understanding of current club trends—especially within Tech House—expanded her music catalog, and strengthened the discipline behind her performance approach. That same year, she attended Tomorrowland for the first time, a milestone that reinforced her long-term vision and continues to fuel her ambition.
Today, Jhoana is based in Belgium, continuing to grow within the European circuit while studying music production to evolve her sound and move toward original releases. Her sets—rooted in Tech House, House, Afro House, and Tribal influences—are defined by groove, clean transitions, and a focused build-and-release flow designed for clubs, private events, and festival stages. With Latin American roots and European experience, she brings a balanced approach: energetic, refined, and built for modern lineups.
